Has The Networked US Empire Been Taken Over By Its Own Protectorates?
If Ukraine and Israel along with their respective lobbyists and intelligence ties are driving US policy, then the western networked empire is no longer acting in its own self-preservation...
The United States Networked Empire has seen an unusual inversion of power dynamics, where it appears as if the client states that serve as a platform for warfare as a protectorate ostensibly under the protection of a dominant power but as of late seem to be steering the empire rather than the other way around. Ukraine and Israel, two states heavily reliant on US military, economic, and political support, have taken primacy in the US-led Wests calculations becoming the foremost Hybrid War hubs in their strategic rationale.
The Tail Wagging The Dog?
Since the beginning of the Trump administration, the US engaged in a dual-track strategy of engaging in diplomacy while actively undermining it not only with Iran but also with Russia, while its not totally clear if Trump was always feigning negotiation airs of recently capitulated to the neocon camp, the case is in both cases Washington’s proxies, Ukraine and Israel, played key roles in sabotaging potential agreements.
Protectorates exist under the umbrella of a more powerful state, which provides security and economic aid in exchange for influence and control. However, in recent years, the relationship between the US and its key protectorates, one in Eastern Europe and another in the Middle East region, has taken priority over policy, sparking conflict. Even with President Donald Trump’s explicit desire to step back from these conflicts continue escalate with the Trump administration and its proxies sabotaging diplomatic efforts.
Trump publicly tore up the JCPOA with Iran while his administration with Israel’s direct involvement ramped up covert operations, including the assassination of nuclear scientist, cyberattacks on infrastructure and terrorism. Similarly, with Russia, Trump’s supposed outreach was repeatedly undercut by escalations in Ukraine. In both cases the US pretended to negotiate while its proxies ensured diplomacy would fail, creating the pretext for further confrontation. Be it because Trump is fully on the neocon camp or that Trump has been trapped by them, the truth remains the two-faced approach to negotiation has left Tehran and Moscow with zero reason to trust any future Western offers of dialogue.
A Symptom Of The Empire’s Self-Sabotage?
Since the 2014 Maidan US Hybrid War coup and especially after Russia’s 2022 SMO, Ukraine has become the focal point of Western military and financial aid, absorbing tens of billions of dollars annually. Despite US domestic concerns — mounting debt, inflation, and political divisions — Congress continues to approve massive aid packages with little debate. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has repeatedly addressed the US Congress and European parliaments, effectively shaping Western policy in ways that prioritize Kyiv’s demands over domestic needs.
For decades, Israel has been the largest cumulative recipient of US military aid, receiving over $3 billion annually with minimal conditions. Despite occasional tensions, US policy in the Middle East often aligns almost perfectly with Israeli strategic interests as US toppled various governments in the regions.
A more plausible reason these states' interests seem to outweigh all other imperatives is the deep integration between US intelligence agencies — particularly the CIA — and the regimes of these protectorates. One Could even speculate that by the US deep state merging with the political hierarchy of these regimes, the nexus formed helps each participant bypass every hierarchical limitation to each group's agendas. Since 2014, the CIA has reportedly trained Ukrainian intelligence operatives, provided real-time battlefield intelligence, and even assisted in covert operations. Some analysts suggest that Ukraine’s security apparatus has become an extension of Western intelligence, blurring the lines between its sovereign decision-making and US directives. The US-Israel intelligence relationship is one of the closest in the world, with Mossad and the CIA collaborating on everything from counterterrorism to cyber warfare. Some speculate that this relationship has evolved into a mutual manipulation, where Israel leverages its intelligence capabilities to shape US policy while the CIA and Neocons use Israel as a proxy for operations in the Middle East.
The merger of deep state neocon elements has created a dynamic where rather than the US dictating terms to its protectorates, these through intelligence fusion and political influence have gained substantial control over the empire’s strategic direction. Through political lobbying, intelligence fusion, and ideological capture, these protectorates have gained disproportionate influence over the empire’s decision-making. Whether this is by design a deliberate outsourcing of US foreign policy or by infiltration, client states manipulating their patron with the help of the West's very own intel agencies is still up for debate, probably a bit of both.
What makes this dynamic particularly alarming is that US support for these nations often comes at the expense of its own stability. The US is $34 trillion in debt yet continues to fund foreign wars while domestic infrastructure crumbles. Military-industrial production is strained, with stockpiles depleted to supply Ukraine while America’s own defense readiness is questioned. Political polarization in the US is exacerbated by debates over unconditional aid to foreign nations, even as American voters grow weary of endless foreign entanglements. And to make matters worse for the US Israels Iron Dome is not invincible and a looming protracted war against Iran risks destroying the Jewish state. While Ukraine keeps getting pummeled by Russia with the ongoing offensive from the Eurasian giant liberating territories west of the Dnieper as part of Putin’s buffer zone plan. Nonetheless as it stands the likelihood of either Israel or Ukraine standing down by agreeing to peace is not likely.
If Ukraine and Israel along with their respective lobbyists and intelligence ties are driving US policy, then the western networked empire is no longer acting in its own self-preservation but in the service of its protectorates abandoning all reason, coordination, logistics and strategy to an ever-hungry automatization of policies.
